Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang can breathe easier now that a Nairobi court has dismissed the corruption charges against him. Milimani magistrate Dolphins Alego granted the Director of Public Prosecution’s request to withdraw the charges, which included allegations of forgery and creating false documents related to a contract with Wil Developers and Construction Limited.

Court Victory: SENATOR CHESANG Cleared of Graft Charges
The court’s decision came after the investigation officer confirmed that Chesang had repaid over Sh17 million to the complainant. Consequently, Magistrate Alego officially discharged him under section 210 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Chesang was initially charged alongside six others, who were accused of conspiring to defraud Wil Developers of nearly Sh26 million through fraudulent tender claims. The trial for the remaining five defendants will continue as scheduled.
