According to some sources, lawyer Danstan Omari may contest for Nairobi Senatorial Seat on the United Progressive Alliance, a party linked to Former powerful interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matia’ngi.
This comes days after various prominent political parties attempted to compel him to run on their ticket with no success.
Those aware of the arrangements believe that , UPA may be a strategic move for the vibrant Advocate who has already received strong endorsement from various groups to unseat Senator Sifuna.
“For us, we shall vote for lawyer Danstan Omari regardless of the party he uses, we want him to be our next Nairobi Senator,” said a Nairobi businesssman.
Already his UPA linked posts have circulated on various social media platforms drawing alot of support and blessing from different groups.
A city advocate told this reporter that, regardless of the party Omari will choose,they were ready to accord him the maximus support.
UPA was formed as the party of Economic Democracy before it rebranded.
